The Vermont State Police will meet with federal authorities Friday to determine if an investigation is warranted, and who would have jurisdiction, regarding allegations of criminal misconduct by Vermont’s Attorney General.
Last week an independent review of a complaint against Democratic Vermont Attorney General William Sorrell filed by the vice-chair of the Vermont Republican Party, cleared Sorrell of five of six counts alleging campaign finance violations.

The other count was referred to the state police.

Vermont State Police will meet with federal officials to determine if an investigation is warranted into alleged pay-to-play campaign finance violations.
Sorrell has said he's done nothing wrong and isn't worried.
