Former Conn. Lt. Gov. Fauliso To Be Laid To Rest Tuesday

Family and friends will be gathering to remember former Connecticut Lt. Gov. Joseph Fauliso.Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Molloy Funeral Home in West Hartford.

The funeral is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford, followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford.

Fauliso died Wednesday in hospice care. He was 98.

Fauliso was the president of the state Senate when Gov. Ella Grasso resigned because of illness in late 1980. Lt. Gov. William A. O'Neill then became governor, resulting in Fauliso being automatically elevated to lieutenant governor, a job he held until 1991.

Fauliso also served as a Hartford alderman and municipal court judge.
