It might be cold, but the new snow across Vermont is helping the state's ski industry.

While recent temperatures in many parts of Vermont have been below zero, new snowfall helped the state's resorts open 100 new trails.

Some areas had a foot of snow from the latest storm in parts of Vermont.

Sarah Wojcik of the Vermont Ski Areas Association says that almost 70 percent of the state's downhill ski terrain is now open.

Wojcik says there were no reports of closings due to cold, and resorts encouraged people to layer and bundle up.
