Sullivan County officials opened an Emergency Assistance Center Friday to help the most vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek says the county’s public health services call line has been inundated with requests for help and information. He says the new assistance center is meant to help those who are unable to leave their homes. The center also will field calls from those who want to help. Assistance will be prioritized to senior citizens; those with physical disabilities; and others unable to shop for food, medicine and other necessities.
