Westchester County Executive-elect George Latimer has named additional transition team members and announced public hearings to gather information in six areas.

The Rye Democrat says he wants to broaden public access to his transition efforts. To this end, 17 community leaders have been named to the transition team. The list includes current and former elected officials, and individuals with specific areas of expertise. In addition, Latimer says there will be public hearings for each of his six subcommittees — Criminal Justice; Health and Mental Health; Social Services and Human Rights; Administrative Services; Economic Development; and Operational Services. The hearings begin December 13 and run through December 19. Plus, there’s a new transition web site, to allow people to share their interest in pursuing a career in the new administration.
