Westchester County Executive-elect George Latimer has named his transition team, and his opponent from the September primary election is co-chair.

New York state Senator Latimer has named Westchester County legislator Ken Jenkins as co-chair. The two faced off in a Democratic primary for county executive. Former Westchester Community College Board of Trustees Chair John Nonna is also co-chair. Nonna, an attorney in private practice, is a former county legislator and Pleasantville mayor. Emily Saltzman will serve as executive director. Latimer also announced six transition issues committees: Health Services; Social Services; Criminal Justice Services; Operations Services; Administrative Services; and Economic Development Services. He says every office and department of county government will fall within one of these policy areas.
