Orange County Rolls Out Free Bus Service For The Newburgh Area

Orange County is rolling out free holiday bus service for the greater Newburgh area.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus Tuesday unveiled the “Ride Free” initiative to provide the City of Newburgh and surrounding areas with complimentary Newburgh Area Transit bus rides during the holiday season, from November 25 until December 31. The fare usually is $1.50. Neuhaus and local leaders hope the complimentary service increases ridership, eases residents’ financial strain and provides access to local dining and shopping. Newburgh Area Transit provides routes covering all of the city and portions of the towns of Newburgh, New Windsor and Cornwall.
