New Bus Route Connects Two Colleges With Poughkeepsie Shops And Services

There is new bus service in Dutchess County that is a partnership with two colleges.

Dutchess County Public Transit has launched a new shared services partnership with Dutchess Community College and Marist College to provide enhanced transportation services free of charge for students, faculty and employees of these colleges. There is a charge for others. The new bus Route H connects the two college communities to services and businesses within the City and Town of Poughkeepsie, such as shopping plazas and the Metro-North train station. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro points out that Marist and DCC are funding the local cost of the new fixed-route service, so there is no county cost to taxpayers. The shuttle service runs Monday through Saturday.
