Orange County has a new program as part of its economic development strategy.
Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus Friday announced the formation of a “shovel-ready” policy for potential job creators in the county. Collaborating with the Orange County Industrial Development Agency and the Orange County Partnership, Neuhaus developed an inventory of local sites available for development. The program provides incentives, site-eligibility guidelines, selection criteria, and a framework for how IDA funds can be used for infrastructure and related improvements at designated sites to attract new businesses. The initial funding is $2 million. To be eligible for the program, a site must be owned by a municipality.
