For hundreds of years, artists have been inspired by the imaginative potential of fantasy. Unlike science fiction, which is based on fact, fantasy presents an impossible reality—a universe where dragons breathe fire, angels battle demons, and magicians weave spells. This outdoor installation will feature unique original works inspired by the exhibition’s themes of classical and contemporary mythology, fairy tales, and fantastical heroes and villains. Come walk the grounds of the Norman Rockwell museum to view these fantastical sculptures, Land of Enchantment, a juried exhibition held in conjunction with the Museum’s upcoming exhibition, Enchanted: A History of Fantasy Art, opening on June 12, 2021.
