FIRST Robotics Competition Hudson Valley Regional
New York High School Students Compete to Qualify For FIRST® Robotics Championship
The FIRST Robotics Competition is a program that challenges high school students – working with professional mentors – to design and build a robot to contend in competitions that measure the effectiveness of each robot, the power of collaboration, and the determination of students. At the Hudson Valley Regional Competition, forty-eight teams – over 1,000 students – from New York, the UK and Turkey will compete in alliances for an opportunity to advance to the FIRST Championship and to win recognition for design excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Thursday - Saturday: Watch 48 teams of high school students from NY and around the world play, compete, and cooperate in alliances using 100-pound custom-built robots.
Friday and Saturday from noon – 4pm: Visit the college fair and STEM career exhibits.
