Averill Park High School in Rensselaer County started a week of remote learning Monday.
Superintendent Jim Franchini says Averill Park High has adjusted its mode of instruction.
"Our high school is currently on 'remote only,' we were in a hybrid model but we just switched to remote again, starting today, for this week at least, as we've some increase in our numbers."
Franchini says he understands the community’s concerns and notes while the district is still getting cases of COVID, staffing issues forced the return to distance learning.
