Albany, NY – Dan Chaon's mesmerizing novel, "Await Your Reply", opens as a boy is rushed to the hospital, his severed hand stuffed in a Styrofoam cooler. The opening is impossible to stop thinking about, as is the novel upon completion. It is already topping 2009 "Best Of" lists.
