Holiday Cocktails With Berkshire Mountain Distillers

You can make your spirits (the alcoholic kind) brighter with some imagination and dazzling drink recipes, including martinis, punches, eggnog, and so many more seasonal favorites.

Chris Weld from Berkshire Mountain Distillers is here to tell us how to make some awesome cocktails for the Holidays.

Established in 2007, Berkshire Mountain Distillers (BMD) has created a line of award-winning artisanal spirits including Ethereal Gins, Ragged Mountain Rum, Ice Glen Vodka, Berkshire Bourbon and New England Corn Whiskey.

Ragged Mountain Rum holiday punch
serves 10

Ingredients:
2 cups strong black tea (hot)
1?2 cup demerara sugar
1?2 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup aged rum (Ragged Mountain Rum )
Fresh nutmeg

Instructions:
Mix hot tea and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved; refrigerate to let cool. Once the tea mixture is cool, add lime juice and rum. Stir well; refrigerate until ready to use.
Once cool, place in punch bowl with large ice chunks , stir and ladle into individual glasses with ice.
Grate nutmeg for each serving

Berkshire Bourbon Milk punch

Ingredients:
Caramel, for rimming glasses
2 tbsp. cinnamon sugar
2 pt. (4 c.) vanilla ice cream
1 c. bourbon
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish
whipped cream, for garnish

Instructions:
In a shallow dish, rim two glasses with caramel and cinnamon sugar and set aside.
In a blender, combine ice cream, bourbon, vanilla, honey and cinnamon and blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into glasses and garnish with whipped cream and ground cinnamon.

French 75

Ingredients:
1 oz Greylock Gin
.75 oz Simple syrup
.5 oz Fresh squeezed lemon juice
Chilled Champagne
Lemon twist

Instructions:
Shake all but champagne well with cracked ice.
Strain into champagne flute.
Fill with chilled champagne.
Garnish with Lemon twist.
