Authorities say a man is facing charges after an officer on patrol found 21 dogs outside behind his residence in frigid temperatures.

Saratoga County legislators are considering the creation of a registry to prevent animal abusers from obtaining pets.

The new exhibit - Face Them - at the Lichtenstein Gallery for the Arts in Pittsfield, MA opens June 2nd and will be up through June 24th.

Face Them is an opportunity to gather artistic intelligence through several mediums in one gallery. By placing pertinent topic images of today before the viewer that may make one feel moved not of our imagination, but of our reality.

The topics are big ones: Global Warming, Population Explosion, Gun Control, Human Trafficking, and Animal Abuse.

NYS AG: Store Owner Barred From Selling Pets

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced an agreement Monday with the owner of a pet store chain in the Hudson Valley. The agreement includes banning the owner from selling pets and imposing fines and penalties for what the attorney general’s investigation found was repeated animal cruelty.

A bipartisan push for a tougher animal rights law is on in New York state.

Tuesday marked the Sixth Annual New York State Animal Advocacy Day at the capitol.

The "Report Animal Abuse, Stop Domestic Abuse" initiative of the Albany County DA's "ACT" Animal Cruelty Taskforce aims to shine a light on domestic violence, by encouraging more residents to dial 9-1-1 when they suspect animal abuse.
