Flock cameras

The arrest of an Albany County Sheriff's Investigator marks the Capital Region's first high-profile case of an officer being arrested for illegally using Flock cameras.

A Newburgh Police Department report obtained by WAMC says hundreds of thousands of searches by law enforcement agencies around the country included the City of Newburgh Police Department’s Flock License Plate Reader Network.

The event, hosted by the advocacy group Indivisible Albany, is meant to raise awareness about Flock cameras in the city.
