Poughkeepsie Farm Project is launching a new program to increase local food access.

The Poughkeepsie Farm Project’s CSA is a SNAP offers a 50 percent discount to members purchasing a share using SNAP/EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/Electronic Benefits Transfer). CSA is community supported agriculture. In addition, the farm has temporarily suspended its workshare and provides shares at a self-selected sliding scale fee to enable community members to continue to access locally-grown food. The new program was to have launched last year but was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The nonprofit has also added a CSA distribution site in the City of Poughkeepsie at Sun River Health on Washington Street.
