Hudson Valley communities are the recipients of nearly $30 million in New York state grants for water infrastructure improvements.
Clean water and/or drinking water grants are headed to Kingston, in Ulster County; the cities of Newburgh and Middletown and the Village of Kiryas Joel in Orange County; the City and Town of Poughkeepsie along with the Village of Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County; the Towns of Fallsburg and Liberty in Sullivan County; and Mamaroneck and North Castle in Westchester County. The grants leverage some $103 million in water quality investments. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the 13 grants for the Hudson Valley Friday as part of the third round of water grants funded through the state’s Water Infrastructure Improvement Act.
