Chances are, if you live in a certain part of the WAMC listening area, you know our guest. Chances are wherever you live, you know our guest’s work. Elliott Landy has taken some of rock music’s most important photographs: artists like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison and others. He was the official photographer of the Woodstock festival and spent some important months in close quarters with The Band before he largely left rock photography. The photos from that era had largely gone unseen for decades until Landy Kickstarted his new book, The Band Photographs 1968-1969.
