COVID-19 Pioneer Valley Fund Makes More Emergency Grants To Nonprofits

The fund managed by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts was set up to respond quickly to the needs of frontline nonprofits in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties.

      A fund set up just a few weeks ago to help nonprofits in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties in western Massachusetts has grown to $3 million.

     The COVID-19 Response Fund for the Pioneer Valley announced a second round of emergency grants this week bringing the total amount awarded to $1 million.

     WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Katie Allan Zobel, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.
