Burlington's Mayor Announces City’s First Chief Innovation Officer

The mayor of Burlington has announced the appointment of the city’s first Chief Innovation Officer to  will lead the city's newly created Innovation and Technology Department.           

Mayor Miro Weinberger appointed Beth Anderson as the City’s first  Chief Innovation Officer. 

She will be responsible for managing the City’s information technology (IT) operations and coordinating data innovation projects. 

Anderson previously worked in the financial services industry in New York City.  

The Mayor has asked the City Council to approve the appointment at its May 18th meeting.
