The largest hospital network in western Massachusetts has appealed for donations of masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as coronavirus cases climb.
Baystate Health is using up supplies at an historic rate, according to hospital president Dr. Mark Keroack.
In addition to appealing for donations, he said the hospital has also reached out to local manufacturers.
"There has been a tremendous amount of ingenuity and can-do attitude among the manufacturing community and we are very happy to see that because some of this equipment is in short supply and everyone across the nation is competing for them," said Keroack.
Information about donating equipment is available on Baystate Health’s website.
