Services in Saratoga Springs may move back into City Hall later next month, as the city completes repairs to the 150-year-old building.
City Hall has been closed since a lightning strike started a small fire on the building’s third floor in August 2018.
Since then, a temporary city hall has operated out of the city’s recreation center on Vanderbilt Ave.
On Tuesday, city Public Works Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco said some city services could begin moving into the historic building on Broadway by late February.
“Ideally, we’d like to move in as soon as possible,” said Scirocco.
Upgrades are being made to the building’s lighting and heating and cooling systems, bathrooms, and court space. And lightning rods have been added to the roof.
