New York State Police have ruled a pair of suspicious deaths that occurred earlier this week in Schoharie County to be a murder-suicide.

Police say 31-year-old Christina Arvidson was killed by a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a homicide.

Police say 24-year-old Dustin McMahon was also killed by a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

An investigation revealed that the two individuals died overnight Monday in the Schoharie County town of Summit.

An investigation into the circumstances that led to the murder-suicide is ongoing.
