Bill Allows Round Lake To Seek Grant Funding

New York state lawmakers have passed a bill that would allow the Saratoga County community of Round Lake to apply for grant funding to protect and revitalize its waterfront.

The legislation sponsored by Democratic Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner and Republican Senator Jim Tedisco designates Round Lake as an Inland Waterway.

The designation allows the Village of Round Lake and Town of Malta to seek funding through the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program and New York State Environmental Protection Fund.

Previously, Woerner and Tedisco worked to pass legislation to allow nearby Ballston Lake to participate in the Inland Waterways program.
