The Village of Round Lake will be losing its mayor of 27 years later this month when Dixie Lee Sacks steps down.
Deputy Mayor Thomas Bergin will serve as interim mayor through the end of Sacks' term, which expires in March 2018.
Sacks, who is 79, moved to the small Saratoga County village in 1982. She explained why she decided to announce her retirement.
