9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Planned In Saratoga Springs

City of Saratoga Springs

The City of Saratoga Springs is inviting the community to participate in a 9/11 remembrance ceremony Monday morning.

Saratoga Springs Mayor Joanne Yepsen will host the ceremony in High Rock Park.

Beside the Tempered by Memory sculpture, a memorial made with twisted steel from the World Trade Center, the observance will include a colorguard from the city fire and police departments.

A moment of silence will be held at 8:46 a.m., the time when the first plane struck the North Tower in the terrorist attack on September 11th, 2001.

The national anthem will be performed by local high school students. A keynote speech will be delivered by U.S. Army Colonel Jim Pabis.
