A Warren County elementary school was put into lockdown Thursday after two guns were spotted in a parked car.

Just after 3 p.m. Thursday, the Post-Star reports, police swarmed an area outside Jackson Heights Elementary School. Police were notified after a person leaving the school reported a woman in a car with two guns.

Police said a .22 rifle and muzzleloader were moved from the backseat to the front of the vehicle to make room for children after being picked up from school. The guns were not loaded and the car was not on school property. The guns reportedly belonged to the driver's boyfriend.

The school was put on lockdown as police investigated. Authorities said they're looking to see if any charges are warranted.
