Many tributes to former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, who died Thursday age 82, have focused on the Democrat's three terms in office. But Cuomo remained a key political commentator, author and observer well after leaving office in 1995, captured in weekly interviews with WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock. One compelling show came the week of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, when Cuomo spoke with guest host and producer David Guistina.

David Guistina is the host of Capital Connection, Legislative Gazette, and Morning Edition and the producer of the Media Project on WAMC.
