Newburgh, NY – Two young men have died on the streets of Newburgh in the past two weeks. Their deaths have inflamed already-tense relations between city police and the city's minority population. Hudson Valley bureau chief Susan Barnett spoke with Reverend Coleman Briggs, the pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church and a leader in the community. He shared his views about the complicated problem of race relations, generational differences and violence in Newburgh.
