Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos, who is also the immediate past president of the National Association of Secretaries of State, is calling on Congress to protect election security in a strongly-worded statement.
Condos noted that in testimony before U.S. House committees Wednesday former Special Counsel Robert Mueller confirmed that Russia is still interfering with the U.S. election process.

He also wrote that last year the Secure Elections Act was “killed on direct order by the White House” and other measures to protect the integrity of votes passed by the House have been blocked by Senate leader Mitch McConnell.

Condos, a Democrat, calls for partisanship to end and writes:  “…it’s time for the President and Senator McConnell to either get on board to help us…or it’s time for them to get out of the way.”
