Interprint – a German global décor printing company whose Pittsfield factory employs 176 – announced today that it’s in the process of being acquired by a Japanese firm based in Tokyo. Pending merger control proceedings, the yet-unspecified sale is expected to be complete by the end of the year. Peter Stasiowsk is the Director of Communications for Interprint’s Pittsfield location. He spoke with WAMC about what the sale means for Pittsfield and the company at large.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
