After Primary Loss, Berkshire DA Caccaviello To Run Write-In Campaign

Josh Landes

The campaign headquarters for the Caccaviello campaign in downtown Pittsfield.

From the day he was installed by Governor Charlie Baker in March, it’s been a battle for Berkshire District Attorney Paul Caccaviello to hold on to the seat. His September 4th loss to attorney Andrea Harrington in the bruising Democratic primary looked like it might have spelled the end for the 30-year veteran of the office. But WAMC has learned Caccaviello is mounting a write-in campaign. He tells WAMC that he’s just begun to fight.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018 after working at stations including WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Berkshire County, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. You can reach him at jlandes@wamc.org with questions, tips, and/or feedback.
