Greylock Works in North Adams, Massachusetts will receive nearly $2 million in state funds for capital improvements.
The 240,000-square foot Greylock Works mill is more than two years into renovations. In 2016, the state’s economic development arm, MassWorks, awarded the project a $2.18 million grant to start landscaping and parking improvements.
Monday at Greylock Works, state Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Jay Ash announced $1.72 million will help finish that project.
Future renovations call for more lodging, restaurants and housing at the former industrial site. The Berkshire Eagle reports Greylock Works has attracted nearly $7 million in private investment.
