The North Adams City Council has approved more than a quarter million dollars in free cash transfers.
At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, lawmakers approved the use of roughly $264,000 in free cash.
One of the largest sums – about $62,000 – is being used to purchase a building on Furnace Street that has fallen into disrepair.
Another $48,600 was appropriated to the Flood Control Emergency Repair Account for a project near MASS MoCA’s Building 6.
The council also transferred money back into the stabilization fund, which brings the free cash total to more than $1 million.
