A Black Lives Matters flag that had been flying at the University of Vermont campus was stolen over the weekend.
The flag sponsored by the Student Government Association first went up on Thursday to show support for the school community as many struggle with violence occurring across the country, including police shootings in North Carolina and Oklahoma.
But the flag was stolen Saturday night.
WCAX television reported that students planned a peaceful rally Monday afternoon and urged people to wear black.
School officials replaced the flag Sunday afternoon and campus police are investigating.
