Bernie Sanders has endorsed Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee for president.
The Vermont senator stood side-by-side with Clinton in Portsmouth, N.H., Tuesday acknowledging that she had won enough delegates to snag the nomination. Sanders promised to work to help Clinton win in November. "She will be the Democratic nominee for President and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next President.”
Sanders has avoided endorsing Clinton for weeks. But he said Tuesday that he was pleased by the updates to the official party platform made over the weekend.
