Facebook: Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts

The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Board of Trustees has selected the person it believes should replace former President Mary Grant.MCLA’s Board of Trustees has recommended Greg Summers to succeed Mary Grant, now chancellor of University of North Carolina at Asheville. One of three finalists, Summers is provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Tyler Fairbank chairs MCLA’s Board of Trustees.

“We’re really excited where we are,” Fairbank said. “Obviously MCLA has come a long way over the last number of years and really climbed its way to national acclaim and doing very, very well. We’re thrilled. President Grant did a phenomenal job and we have a chapter to open.”

The recommendation now goes to the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education for a vote March 10th.
