Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced that access to county buildings will be limited and more staffing will be remote as COVID-19 cases escalate.

Starting Monday, access to Ulster County government buildings will be significantly limited, with the Department of Motor Vehicles moving to by-appointment service only. And Ulster County’s in-person workforce will be limited to essential staff plus 25 percent additional support staff until January 1. Also beginning November 23, Kingston Mayor Steve Noble says the city is reinstating a number of protocols and procedures, including closing all city offices to the public, except by appointment; having the Building Safety Division suspend routine inspections; and suspending all Parks and Recreation public programming.
