Members of the New York state Assembly Minority Conference are hosting a forum in Orange County Wednesday night on water quality.

Republican Hudson Valley Assemblymen Kevin Byrne of Mahopac and Colin Schmitt of New Windsor are joining other assemblymembers for a third informational forum to discuss the condition of the state’s water sources; address emerging contaminants; and prioritize and fix aging infrastructure. Schmitt, a member of the Assembly Minority Task Force on Water Quality, is hosting the forum in his 99th district, at the Vails Gate Fire Department in New Windsor from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Assemblymembers hosted their second regional forum Tuesday in Lake George. They’ll hold three more, two on Long Island and one in New York City, on Staten Island, wrapping up November 20.
