Bridge Street Theatre presents the U.S. Premiere of Red Like Fruit by award-winning playwright Hannah Moscovitch, October 2–12, 2025, on its “Priscilla” Mainstage in Catskill. Moscovitch, hailed as “the dark angel of Canadian theatre,” has earned international acclaim for her fearless works including East of Berlin and Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes. In Red Like Fruit, journalist Lauren (Elizabeth Narciso) investigates a domestic violence case but soon finds herself reckoning with her own long-suppressed past. Her narrative is voiced by an actor (Johnny Travers), forcing audiences to question whose stories are told and whose are silenced. Winner of a “Fringe First” Award at the Edinburgh Festival, the play is directed by Margo Whitcomb, who previously helmed BST’s Berkie Award-winning East of Berlin. Larry & Raven, a mentalist couple based in New York, appear to read minds, predict choices and see the unseen. Impossible you say? That’s what they do… the impossible. They will make you question everything you know and have you scratching your head wondering “How?!”. They stun audiences with a "psych-ish" ability to read and influence every thought. No information is ever given to them before a performance. The thoughts that they reveal are those actually held in the minds of the audience -- all strangers to them. As a “genuine” mentalist couple they have toured the world. Part of a lineage that spans more than 150 years. They have toured the world with more than 1,000 appearances in over 40 states and over a dozen countries. One of the few foreign performers featured in the longest running variety show at NGK theater in Osaka, Japan. Most recently they were named “2019 Mentalists of the Year” by APCA. Howl Playwrights celebrates its tenth year with a bold evening of staged readings exploring the theme of resistance. Nine new plays—ranging from detention center nightmares to TikTok apocalypses and subversive fairy tales—offer surprising visions of survival, defiance, and connection. Highlights include Martina Deignan’s No Warning, a harrowing story of immigration injustice; Dean Temple’s The Fifth Horseperson, where teenage distraction becomes world-ending; Paul Allman’s satirical Collecto-mania Caravan; and David Simpatico’s darkly comic Gretal and Hansel. An unforgettable night of theatre in resistance.

The Norman Rockwell Museum is honored to present a rare series of early twentieth century lighting advertisements by Norman Rockwell and fellow Golden Age illustrators Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Stanley Arthurs, Worth Brehm, and Charles Chambers created for Edison Mazda Lamps, a division of the General Electric Company. These luminous, richly painted works were widely circulated in published advertisements through the 1920s and are on loan to the Museum for the first time through the generosity of GE Aerospace.

“Once a Tree: Continuity, Creativity, and Connection” explores the deep-rooted significance of trees in Haudenosaunee culture, tradition, and creative expression. Featuring the work of 42 artists and more than 100 objects—including decorative and utilitarian baskets, cradleboards, snowshoes, ladles, lacrosse sticks, toys, instruments, carvings, and sleds—this exhibition highlights the important relationship between nature and artistry. Selected from the Museum’s permanent collection, the exhibition was created with guidance from curatorial consultants Terry Chrisjohn III (Oneida), Preston Jacobs (Mohawk), and Sheila Ransom (Mohawk).

"Separated but Unbroken: The Haudenosaunee Boarding School Experience" explores the lasting impact of the Thomas Indian School, once located on the Cattaraugus Reservation south of Buffalo, NY, and The Mohawk Institute near Branford, Ontario. These institutions, which enrolled a significant number of Haudenosaunee students, were part of a larger system that sought to erase Indigenous identities while deeply shaping the lives of those who endured them. Co-curated by Erin Keaton (Mohawk), the exhibition sheds light on Haudenosaunee resilience.

Edward Heys, currently of Bennington, Vermont, spent 45 years chasing various deadlines of magazine publishing. It required the combined influences of his family and retirement to redirect his efforts toward more whimsical pursuits: the engineering and construction of fairy houses.
