Join us on Thursday, November 20th, at Novellas for RUPCO’s annual Community Lunch: Home Stories Matter – a gathering that will celebrate connection, impact, and the power of home.

This year, we’re doing something special. Instead of a keynote speaker, we're shining the spotlight on the people at the heart of our mission: creating homes, supporting people, and improving communities. Home Stories Matter will amplify the voices of community members whose lives have been impacted by RUPCO’s work.

For more than 40 years, RUPCO has been building brighter futures across the Hudson Valley. We’ve helped residents find stability in safe, affordable homes and provided vital rental assistance to households in need. Through the administration of millions in grant funding, we’ve opened doors for families to purchase their first home, repair the one they cherish, and even create new housing through Accessory Dwelling Units. We’ve empowered landlords to make long-overdue repairs and supported local contractors whose businesses continue to grow through our housing initiatives. Together, these stories show the ripple effect of what’s possible when a community invests in housing—and in each other.

Through this series of monotypes, I explore water as a substance, its metaphoric allusion, and the collective narrative that addresses mankind's complicated relationship to this essential natural resource.

Art After Hours mixes art and entertainment every third Thursday of the month. Visit exhibitions, create art, and socialize with friends! Hyde Members and Guest are invited to join us for our Member Mixer on Nov 20 for 5 to 8 pm. Mingle with your fellow members, view the special exhibitions, and munch on light refreshments. Hyde members can also enjoy a 20% off discount on museum shop items!

Still life painting emerged in Europe around the start of the seventeenth century. Inanimate objects, such as food, flowers, and tableware, were no longer details within a larger painting, they became the subject of the work itself. Many of the greatest still life painters of this era were women, who experimented with intriguing new compositions, subjects, and styles. Join Hyde Curator Bryn Schockmel as she examines the artists features in the exhibition 'A Feast of Fruit and Flowers: Women Still Life Painters of the Seventeenth Century and Beyond.'

This watercolor course is designed for intermediate and advanced artists looking to refine their technique and deepen their creative practice. Through structured exercises, students will enhance their observational skills, master controlled lighting, and explore advanced color mixing. Tailored assignments ensure a personalized learning experience, helping you achieve greater precision, expression, and confidence in watercolor painting.

All tools and materials will be provided.

Livingston Taylor’s career as a professional musician has spanned over 50 years, encompassing performance, songwriting, and teaching.
Described as "equal parts Mark Twain, college professor, and musical icon, Livingston maintains performance schedule of more than a hundred shows a year, delighting audiences with his charm and vast repertoire of his 22 albums and popular classics. Livingston has written top-40 hits recorded by his brother James Taylor and has appeared with Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, and Jimmy Buffet. He is equally at home with a range of musical genres - folk, pop, gospel, jazz - and from upbeat storytelling and touching ballads to full orchestra performances.
In addition to his performance schedule, Livingston has taught stage performance for over 30 years, beginning at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1989, passing on the extensive knowledge gained from his long career on the road to the next generation of musicians. Liv is an airplane-flying, motorcycle-riding, singing storyteller, delighting audiences with his charm for over 50 years.

The Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to the David H. Koch Theater November 4–23, 2025, with World Premieres by Resident Choreographers Lauren Lovette and Robert Battle, and the New York Premiere of Hope Boykin’s How Love Sounds. The soundscape is as bold as the dancing — from jazz icons Ella Fitzgerald, Wycliffe Gordon, and Mahalia Jackson, to the orchestral sweep of Antonín Dvořák and John Adams, to pop classics by Patsy Cline, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, and Donna Summer. Alongside Taylor favorites Esplanade and Company B, the repertory features treasures including Speaking in Tongues, the Whitman-inspired Beloved Renegade, Offenbach Overtures, Scudorama, Troilus and Cressida (reduced), and Concertiana, Taylor’s final dance. Select performances feature live music performed by the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Tickets start at $10 at boxoffice.dance.

GivingTuesday was created as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. It is an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.
In that spirit of generosity, Lenox Library will collect donations of non-perishable food items, paper products, and personal health care items between November 1 and December 2. All donations will benefit the Lenox Food Pantry.
Plus, your donation will go even further! For every item donated, our friends at BIRCH Properties will contribute $1 to the Lenox Library Association, supporting library programs and collections.

There is no better classroom than the outdoors! In our homeschool program, we lead children on a hands-on exploration of the Huyck Preserve's forests, streams, and ponds. This program focuses on building ecological understanding through observation, investigation, and documentation of our discoveries, while encouraging creativity through nature art and play.

Designed for homeschool families, children ages 5-12.
Caregivers may stay with the class but are not required to stay. Please indicate your plans on the registration form. Preschool siblings are also welcome if caregivers attend but must also be registered.

Material Shift showcases work by 13 Haudenosaunee artists who employ found objects and other unconventional materials to create or illustrate traditional cultural objects or concepts and those who, conversely, explore traditional materials in unexpected ways. Works range from playful to provocative. These events are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Institute of Museum & Library Services, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and friends and members of the Iroquois Museum.
