Follow the parade to the Springfield Community Center for a patriotic celebration with music by the Cooperstown Community Band, Brooks’ chicken barbecue, homemade pie, historical displays, quilt show, raffles, and more.
Then head to Glimmerglass State Park beach for an evening concert with local rock band Scattered Flurries starting at 7:30, followed by a display of Fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Fairy House Hunt in the Gardens!
Dust off your wings and fly on over to this beloved annual family event! Enjoy this fabulous outdoor scavenger hunt for whimsical and adorable Fairy Houses hidden among the blooming flowers and trees at Locust Grove! Each Fairy House celebrates a different heirloom flower or historic tree and the pollinators that make them grow!
Fairy House happens EVERY weekend in May and June, as well as, Mondays, May 27
Tickets are $10/person online. Children under 4 are free.

Yidstock: The Festival of New Yiddish Music returns to the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA! Join us on Thursday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET for our opening concert, The Klezmatics, the internationally acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning modern klezmer outfit. Blending instrumental and vocal virtuosity and experimentation with theatricality firmly rooted in klezmer and Yiddish tradition, The Klezmatics brought the revival of klezmer into the rock era. The Klezmatics are Lorin Sklamberg, vocals, piano, and guitar; Matt Darriau, clarinet, saxophone, and recorders; Lisa Gutkin, violin; Paul Morrisett, bass, and tsimbl; and Richie Barshay, drums.

Join us on Friday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. ET for a performance by vocalist Judy Bressler, one of the most renowned interpreters of Yiddish songs in our time, and pianist Hankus Netsky, founder and director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band.

Yidstock: The Festival of New Yiddish Music is returns to the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA! Join us on Friday, July 12 at 5:00 p.m. for a performance by Levyosn, a new quartet specializing in Yiddish song and klezmer. Founded in 2021, the band takes its name from the Ashkenazi Hebrew word for the leviathan, a mythical sea creature traveling the world’s oceans collecting songs, krill, and dreams. Levyosn’s repertoire includes traditional music and original songs presented in intricate arrangements with rich vocal harmonies, as featured on their debut album, Levoysns Lullaby (Borscht Beat, 2023). Levyosn is vocalist/guitarist Adah Hetko, violinist/vocalist Lysander Jaffe, accordionist/vocalist Kaia Berman Peters, and cellist/vocalist Raffi Boden.

Yidstock: The Festival of New Yiddish Music returns to the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA! Join us on Saturday, July 13 at 8:00 p.m. for a performance by Gephilte, a jam-band experiment in Yiddish funk, the latest boundary-busting project from renowned Canadian Yiddish hip-hop provocateur Josh Dolgin aka Socalled. Taking cues from his funk/klezmer supergroup Abraham Inc, Socalled has brought together an ensemble of fellow Canadian virtuosos to explore Yiddish repertoire in a freewheeling, borderless style, using the incredible Yiddish repertoire to groove out and make audiences move.
