Cooper is a recipient of the In the Spirit of Folk Award from Folk Alliance International and a Best Male Songwriter Award from the Indie Acoustic Project. Additionally, he earned a Nashville Music Award Nomination for Best Pop Album, among numerous other achievements.

Dana Cooper is a veteran recurring performer at the famed Kerrville Folk Festival and has performed live for Austin City Limits and NPR's Mountain Stage. He's established himself as an integral figure in the Nashville songwriting community and has been invited to participate in songwriting workshops from Belfast to Copenhagen to Austin.
