Saratoga PLAN Jumps Into Boyhaven Effort

Land conservation organization Saratoga PLAN has announced a new effort to preserve Camp Boyhaven in the Town of Milton. The non-profit is seeking feedback from area residents who would be in support of contributing money to help purchase the 300-acre property to preserve as a passive-recreation park.

A pending sale of the previously closed Cub Scout Camp from Boy Scouts of America's Twin Rivers Council to the Town of Milton for $1 million collapsed last week after an anonymous donor backed out of a $500,000 contribution. The town has bonded another $500,000 for the purchase.

Frank Rossi Jr., a local resident, has also launched an online fundraising campaign in support of the Milton purchase.

The Milton town board is expected to address the Boyhaven sale at its Tuesday night meeting.
