Police Investigate 2 Deaths In Adirondacks

Authorities on Wednesday investigated the deaths of two people whose bodies have been found inside a home in the Adirondack Mountains.
State police responded at 7:15 Wednesday morning to a report of two bodies found in a home in Tupper Lake in the central Adirondacks.

Troopers say the preliminary investigation is consistent with a murder suicide.

State police say the deceased male, Stacey Ayotte, 47, is believed to have shot the female, 34 year old Jamie Martin, and then himself. A rifle was found Ayotte’s body.

The deceased had two children who were found safe at another location in Tupper Lake
