Plattsburgh, NY – The journey of a lifetime begins with a single step. But what do you need to tread that path? North Country writer and essayist Eleanor Garrell Berger found out what types of shoes, boots, rain slickers and patience was needed as she strolled the walking paths of Britain. Berger has written a light-hearted book titled Stepping Out. Her book describes how to prepare for journey-walks and her experiences along many paths. On today's Community Corner, North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley talks with Berger about her first book, and how she learned even more by publishing it herself.
