Montpelier, VT – In the wake of the kidnaping and murder of 12-year old Brooke Bennett, officials in Vermont are calling for a review of Vermont's sex offender laws. Tuesday afternoon, a bi-partisan group of legislative leaders announced that a Vermont Senate committee will examine the state's sex offender laws and any suggestions for changes, including a series of initiatives proposed by the Lieutenant Governor.
