U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and 19th District Congressman Antonio Delgado have introduced legislation to help communities repair their aging water infrastructure.

Environmental Advocates of New York says too many water infrastructure projects are waiting in the wings for funding, according to a report released Thursday. The group wants the state legislature to allocate a major increase in funding over previous years.

On Friday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that more than $32 million in grants and loans are going toward drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across New York. Four of the seven projects are in the Hudson Valley.
