Vermont Nuclear Waste Policy Committee

The Waste Policy Committee of the Vermont Nuclear Decommissioning Citizen’s Advisory Panel is discussing legislation and policy proposals in Washington.

A California start-up outlined plans to use existing borehole technology to place the waste deep underground.

The Department of Energy is taking suggestions on how to “site Federal facilities for the temporary, consolidated storage of spent nuclear fuel using a consent-based approach.”
